Without a focal point, people tend to move in a circle.
That’s why we can’t walk in a straight line with a blindfold. It’s a weird analogy for our spirits. We tend to walk, spiritually, in a circle, without a focal point. That’s why it says in Hebrews 12:1,2 that we should “run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith”. If we don’t have him as our focal point, we’re gonna be running in circles. We’re gonna keep struggling with the same things, going back to the same failure, living with the same regret.
So tell Him you love Him.
Tell Him you need Him.
Tell Him there’s no better place for you than in His arms.
Tell Him you’re sorry for running in circles,
And for keeping the focus on the waves, and not on His face.
