Oh.

*2013 Repost*

So I was like, “God. Thanks that you’re so committed to shaping my life. I mean, if anyone should be committed, it’s me. This is my life. I don’t know why you even take the time to work on the process of healing me and transforming me. This isn’t your life. It’s mine.”

Then God’s like, “You are not your own. You were bought with a price. Of course I’m invested into seeing you change! My down payment to redeem you was me dying on a cross. I paid for the opportunity to call you mine and shape you into the person I always knew you could be. I paid for the opportunity to be given room to work with what you’ve got. I’m not going to give up on what I paid so much for.”

Then I was like, “Oh.”
